Mon Jul 08 2019Where do you buy discover pass? Where you park (free)? How are the Yurts? I came from recently a cabin with bad experience before (Bed Bugs.. Ugh). I just wanted to make sure this won't be an issue here. Otherwise, I will change reservation to tent....

I do not have info about Yurts as I didn't tour one and have never been in one.If you stay at any New York State Park they give you a car pass that is good at the other State Parks for free parking, even if there isn't camping there. Niagara Falls State Park is right in the city of Niagara Falls and is where the actual falls are located. You go to the gate and then show your pass to the attendant, who lets you enter for free. Once parked, go to the Visitor Center for the Discovery Pass. You can look it up online for more info.You will see a giant Welcome Center right before you get to the State Park. DO NOT go to the Welcome Center. Beware that Niagara Falls City is very depressed, run down and tacky. Just drive through it directly to the State Park. Once at the Park, it is beautiful and you can't see all of the bad stuff outside the gates.It is about 16 miles from Four Mile to Niagara Falls.
