Fri Oct 25 2024Mountain River Family Campground was totally destroyed during Hurricane Helen. The N. Toe River devastated the area. They are planning on rebuilding. Not sure if they will be open in 2025 yet....

The owners are working overtime, and then some, in order to open again next season. They are making excellent progress (more than anyone could have imagined). I would expect that they will open as much of the park as possible next season. They have Facebook page that keeps everyone updated....
