Yes - shy away from all the sites directly south of the ranger station and head up the hill to the sites that would be NE of the ranger station up by the laundromat. Trees are much thinner and depending on which site possibly open sky. Cell service is also much better up the hill and barely usable in the "lower" part of the campground....
