You need to go to the Parks Canada website and register. I bit of a hassle but not too bad. Sometime in Mid-January 2020 there is a date when ALLCanadian Parks w/ RV campgrounds accept reservations. This is all explained in the Parks Canada web-site. Good luck. It is a nice Campground, but no wifi. I drove into Ingonish Beach to a breakfast place to tie into Wifi!...

Whenever I go to Cape Breton, I stay at Broad Cove. Its location is excellent for exploring most of the highlands as day trips. Unless you are planning on going on the holiday weekends of July 1st, Natal Day (1st Monday in August) or Labour Day, I have never found it necessary to make a reservation. Depending on the size of your class C, you might want to consider camping in an unserviced section (sites 84-202) as sites are more private and secluded. If you feel it necessary to make a reservation, as the previous RVer suggested, reservations can be made online beginning Jan 20, 2020. Another place to consider is Big Intervale campground (located at the base of North Mountain, 10 km from Cape North) - non-reservable. I have not seen it since it was renovated and expanded in 2019, but it is a place I have always wanted to camp, but it could not accommodate my 33' 5th wheel. Enjoy your time in Cape Breton.
