Devils Tower / Black Hills KOA Journey

We were out there in August 2019 and they were adding new RV sites to the lot. They boast that sites 65-70 have a direct view if the tower but they are often muddy and wet. We originally had site 65 but it was too wet for us so they were happy to move us to another site. I think site 72 is one of the best for viewing the tower. The tower is directly west of the RV park and about 2 miles distant. You can't miss seeing it from anywhere in the park. If you want breakfast with the tower look for site 65-70 and 72-77....

The park has added a new section in the rear of the old park. Site 99 is located in this new section and isn't on the old map. Ask for the site by number when you reserve--it's worth it!...

I believe it should be site #9 which is right next to the restrooms and showers. Beautiful view of Devil's Tower and convenient to the restrooms and showers. Sites 1-9 would be your best bet for great views. I've been to this KOA twice and will most likely return again! Have fun!...

We are in site #99 now. It’s super narrow but did have a good view of Devils Tower until a huge 5th wheel pulled into #100. (We’re in a Airstream). After that we could see nothing. But they do provide some shade as there isn’t any. The hook ups for site #100 are basically in site #99....
