Sat Feb 08 2020We are in a pop up camper; therefore, highway and outside noise makes it hard to sleep. Is this a problem with the location of this park, or the location of the sites within the park?...

Although on the main street the sites are not right on the highway. They are back starting 75ft with lots of mature trees - they help dampen the noise. The rear of the park borders on the high school football field so be aware if you are there during late summer or fall, especially during the weekdays when the marching band practices....

No, you shouldn’t have any problem. Although the site is right off the road, it is actually walled and hidden partially behind the store and showers. I was absolutely shocked how quiet it was in the campground and with all the trees, it kept the airport noise to a minimum as well. I believe the pop- up sites are further back in, so even less noise....

The worst noise in this park is the High Schools football field directly behind the park, and the baseball practice field beside the rear left side of the park. But, those noises are seasonal and primarily in the afternoon unless there is a football game. There is some highway noise (mainly from big trucks), but not an objectionable amount after about 9PM. If you can stand the high school noise, ask them to locate you to the rear of the park....
