I'm afraid I cannot answer the question, as I did not attempt to make that trip. I would suggest asking the folks at Galveston Is. RV. They might know. Sorry I could not be more help....

I took my 45' toyhauler across the ferry without any problems. You just have to make sure the propane is turned off....

We took the ferry round trip with our 28 ft TT. I didn't get asked about the propane but I think it was off to begin with....
