We stay there in October, so can't answer to the bugs in June. I would assume there are some bugs due to the creek and the woods, but surely tolerable. There is no dog park per se, but there are grassy areas throughout the campground, especially near the entrance. Great campground....

We have no mosquitoes in the campground. The elevation at 3500ft and the cool rushing water of the creek keeps the campground free of insects all year round....
