Most of the sites at the park are open with trees around the perimeter and shorter shrubs between some sites. There were a very few sites if any that we noticed that were completely covered in trees. If you look at Google maps satellite view and compare it to a park campground map, you could probably choose your site that way. We camped in a 26 foot travel trailer, but now have a 40 foot 5th wheel and am pretty sure you could get in most any of the sites....

We've camped at Maumee Bay State Park several times and I can only remember one time that we had to place the satellite antenna on a stand instead of the roof. There are fence rows or natural screens between each site but very few tall trees. In general, the best sites to avoid obstructions are closer to the main road away from the cul-de-sacs. The satellite view on Google maps gives a pretty clear picture of the taller trees....

Almost all of the spots have only small trees that will not block a satellite signal, however, you might want to use Google maps or another map program to check on the specific site you are considering....

As I remember, we were in a back-in site that was plenty long. There was plenty of open sky at most sites. It was a great overnight stop....

Definitely possible for satellite. Nearly all sites have just small trees near them, so there is little to cause problems getting a satellite signal. According to Reserve America, however, the maximum RV size for campsites is 40' so you probably will not be able to fit in any spots. You might want to call the park directly about the size of your motorhome....

You should have reasonably good luck at most of the sites. There are plenty of trees but they are no canopies of branches overhanging the sites. Most have tree borders around and behind the sites but they are not overly close to the parking pads. You may want to call and ask the park office. They are very helpful!...
