How strict is their pet policy? Do they make you stop at entrance & check-in? What if you're just there for the day? Will they freak out & kick you out?...

Yes, you will be stopped at the office to check in. They have a form that you must fill out regarding your per(s) and require a refundable $30/pet deposit during your stay. They have breed restrictions, strict 6 foot maximum leash rule and a whole list of associated rules. The paper that you sign says they will kick you out, without refund, for violating the pet rules....

I have no idea. We have no pets outside of an occasional fly. However I saw lots of folks with dogs walking around and our neighbors had a dog that liked to bark a lot. They expect you to pick up after them and to keep them on a leash. Hope that helps. I suppose you may get away with out telling them for a day but why not. It may cost you a couple of bucks but with things as tight as they are in the Keys for RV spots best not to rock the boat too much. (note there are 558 fewer RV sites than there were last year due to hurricane damage and sell outs for condos.)...

We travel with two cats which never leave the unit. You do have to stop at the entrance to check in when you first get there, but not after. As far as I know, their pet policy is about the same as most other parks (thank goodness). We have stayed there for the last 4 years and love. Good folks....

We have a dog and stayed there. They expect you to pick up after your pet and keep it on a leash except in their fenced dog run. Play by their rules, no issue. What are you trying to do that you are concerned about getting kicked out? Rules are for everyone's benefit....

I do not have any pets so I cannot answer that question, and I personally have never had any reason to not stop at entrance for check-in unless I had been previously instructed to go to a specific site and return to office afterwards....

We travel with 2 Jack Russel's and have not encountered any problems. Check is by front entrance and you must check in at time of arrival. I don't believe it matters if you are there one day or a month you still need to check in. As far as the park everyone is very friendly and you should have no problems!...

We stayed there with our two well behaved, Cocker Spaniels and had no problems. However, you must walk them along the road, not on the sites and clean up after. They have a nice fenced dog park where you can let your dogs off leash....
