Sat Feb 26 2022Can you access the sand dunes from the park? Would i be able to drive my sand car from the park to the dunes without having to swap out my sand tires?...

You would take a short drive on a paved street to get to the access point where the sand starts if you’re OK with that you shouldn’t have a problem because it’s a lightly traveled paved road probably less than a mile to the sand...

It’s very doable but the sand dunes are not right at the park so maybe a mile drive on pavement...

Hi Andy. We do not have direct dune access. It's about a two mile drive down Hwy 101. For dune access, check out Woahink Lake RV Resort or one of the federal Siltcoos Beach campgrounds. Look up recreation-dot-gov. If you do stay elsewhere, be sure to stop by Darlings Resort Pub for some excellent BBQ and the coldest beer on the coast. Kitchen hours are Wed-Sun 11 to 8.
