There are two campground sections for this resort. One offers a swimming pool, brick/concrete pads. The other one does not, & is less per night. We used the one without the extra amenities because we spent a lot of time at the beach & fishing on St. George Island. Enjoyed our stay & will return. As for a local oyster place, there are several in the area. We enjoyed Lynn’s just up the road. Even bought seafood at their seafood counter in front of restaurant. Very “old Florida” & rustic, but delicious!...

This RV Resort is in Eastport, just east of Apalachicola. We completely enjoyed out stay here. Our site was in the more expensive section up front. This was worth is to us as we had a fabulous view of the bay. Great Mexican restaurant in town. We mainly ate and played in Apalachicola and Port St. Joe. Great oysters are everywhere. If you are looking for more value and are willing to be further out, consider Julian Bruce St. George Island State Park on St. George Island. Lots of locals and places to eat oysters on this island. A very nice looking campground....

Make sure to go to The Hole in the Wall in Appalachacola! They have the best seafood gumbo I have ever had from Key West to New Orleans! The wife makes it, and no, she won’t share the recipe. :-(. They also shuck the oysters right in from of you and they are fresh and awesome!...

You get what you pay for: east is more expensive than west...both are excellent places to stay. We liked Lynn's, Daily on St. George Island, and Station Raw Bar in Apalachicola for seafood....
