Hilton Head National RV Resort

  • Question:

The reviews seem to be good but no one addresses the prices, which seem to be very high for a campground that is not really on the island of Hilton Head. As nice as this campground's facilities might be, shouldn't the prices be lower, especially considering that it is in Bluffton and not actually on Hilton Head Island, which is where everyone really wants to be?...

Prices are very high, ranging from about $123.17 to $190.97, depending on what site you choose. The place is new and very nice but I agree that it does appear to be a little over the top but then EVERYTHING is extremely expensive on, and around, Hilton Head. We paid $160/night when we were there back in March for Spring Break. I made a little video riding a bike around the place that you can watch on YouTube. It was definitely the most expensive place we've ever stayed at and we were there from a Sun to Sat and never used any of their amenities! Probably won't be going back as there are many other places around that are just as nice for less....

Hubby and I found it to be very expensive but all prices seem to be inflated. We were at Creekwood Farm RV Park last weekend and paid $90 to be on the creek, with no amenities! This was in the cute town of waynesville, NC...

I have to agree that it's way out of line on a price basis. We spend less in Key West a month ago, KEY WEST. Bluffton is a nice area, but, it's not Hilton Head. Often in real estate, greed runs a fine line. A correction could be coming because a quick quarter is always better than a slow dollar....

The amenities at this park far surpass any that we’ve stayed at. You’re right off Hilton Head Island and it’s easy getting there. The campground we stayed at in the Key West is a dump in comparison and we paid more. The beaches are close-by and gorgeous on HHI. Yeah, the prices are higher here, but, in my opinion, you get what pay for!...

It is definitely not cheap but it is immaculate! We loved the fact that it was dog friendly and that the amenities fit the needs of ourselves as well as our 11 and 14 year old kids and our two year old Labrador. The service staff were top notch and I do not begrudge paying that kind of money to support first class service....

Yes, a bit pricier than a few places nearby and on HHI. However, everything is high quality, I could easily overuse the word immaculate for lack of better synonyms. So what is easily comparable from one RV camp to another: Everything from the hookups, spacious concrete pads, back in, sites, dog walks, laundry room, bath house are beyond anything I’ve seen at any other location. The closest is Lake View RV Resort in Houston TX. That’s where the comparison ends consider the lazy river, pool area, restaurant and security it’s worth the price...

This isn't just another RV park.. This is an immaculate resort. We've been RV'n for /- 8 years and have stayed at a -lot- of places that are called 'resorts', but this place ups the bar by far. This is the 5 star hotel of RV resorts. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? For us, absolutely. Hands down the best rv vacation resort we've stayed at.I personally had a lot of big plans to go out on HHI each of our 5 days there to do various things.. But found myself wanting to stay at the park rather than fight island traffic on many of those days.. The amenities are worth it, especially if you have kids....

Considering the traffic and overcrowding on the island this is a perfect solution. We can visit the island in about 15 minutes but don't have to constantly be in the midst of the busyness....

Hi Charles. It’s almost a year since you posted and I’m just going to answer for those who see your comment and don’t know the area. I spent January to May in Bluffton. I prefer to be in Bluffton as opposed to dealing with all of the traffic with visitors on HHI. Old town Bluffton has great restaurants, shopping, sunsets, paddle boarding, etc. If you want to hit the beach for the day, yes it’s a drive. As far as price goes. I agree it’s high for not being on the island and it seems as I book I’m seeing a lot of empty sites. Maybe they’ll be adjusting according to attendance as they get into this venture more. For me, I travel full-time solo and stay at State Parks mostly. So I’m willing to spend a bit more for a luxury treat once in a while. But you do have valid points....
