Maybe. But Stephen C Foster State Park in Georgia would be a much better choice for astral photography. It is designated Dark Sky. Many folks (including us who are FL natives) sometimes get them confused....

The campsites are under a pretty solid tree cover. There are some open areas in the campground, but the view of the sky is narrow. And despite being a Dark Sky park, there was quite a lot of glow from Jacksonville, I think....

Are you talking about GA or FL park? Both have pretty shady sites. More of a chance of night skies at a site in the FL park, but the GA park is much darker in my opinion and its a short walk or ride to the marina and it's parking lot for a good sky view....

The parking lot by the office would have the most clear view of the sky...
