Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Cottonwood Campground

Wed Aug 17 2022We are visiting Canyon de Chelly in September, 2022 and I’m terrible at camping without reservations. Has anyone been there recently? Can you tell me how full the Cottonwood campground was?!...

We were there 7/15/2022 to 7/18/2022 and the campground only had from 1 camper (us) to the maximum of 6 during our stay. Very nice host and we had our selection of sites. No hookups but a nice dump station on the way out. I hope this helps....

We arrived on a Saturday at 1 pm during Easter weekend. There were less than 10 sites occupied. We were able to chose our site. Plenty available...
