The resort is gated and secure, as secure as one can be. This part of Tucson, I feel, is much better than the south side of the city. I feel safe here but everyone is different. This park has a security house at the automobile entrance with a gate that the person inside the house can open and after the vehicle goes thru the gate closes, this feature is there for both coming and going vehicles. Until this month (March 2024), the fence gates were not locked. NEW: There are now coded locks on the fence too. This is good. Again, the inner fence has the barbed wire, is higher and is thus much more secure. The outer wall is sturdy, attractive but low without barbed wire, so less secure. Yes, it's a bit annoying that we now have to go thru two coded gate...

This area is very safe. Plus they have security gates at the only entrance and key code locks on all gates leading to the Tucson bike path...
