I think that it is very safe. There is a gated entrance for after-dark, so evening hours aren't open to the public. I understand that the surrounding neighborhood may not be the absolute greatest (can't say as only a visitor) but we have never had the slightest worry, and wouldn't hesitate to stay again....

Not dangerous at all. The KOA has a fence or wall around the perimeter and both entrance gates are locked at 6 p.m....

Park is safe totally surrounded by razor wire gates closed at night stayed a month never felt unsafe in park area around it has parts I would not want to walk around at night...

If it is a bad side of town, you would never know it when you arrive. The park is in pristine condition and they have a 24/7 guard at the gate. We arrived after dark and were greeted by the security guard who escorted us to our site. We were there for a couple of days and never saw any evidence of rundown areas near the campground....

Stayed here many times. Never felt like I was in a dangerous area. From the Grocery store doqn the street to the bike paths. Totally fine. I guess the only danger is eating too much BBQ at the restaurant that is onsite....

We had no issues whatsoever, went out for both breakfast and dinner in the area, used it as our home base for exploring Tucson. The park has security after dark....

Would stay here again any time. Easy in and out. Lovely place with lots to do in the area. Never even suspected it was anything else but safe till your question....

Have stayed here many times and consider it very safe. Gated and walled, well maintained and lighted. Contiguous with the RV dealership, also secured and well lighted. We have never stayed more than a week at a time, but it seemed that some folks stay for quite a long time....

Answer. Stayed there many times not an issue, guard at gate, secured at night, never felt unsafe will stay there again....

This is our second season staying here. While there are some areas around the campground that are less than stellar we have felt comfortable and safe. Staff are readily available 24/7. Entrance gates are secured at dusk. Staff do "patrol" the area during daylight and overnight hours. I highly recommend a short or long term stay!...

We have stayed here a number of times and felt secure. Perhaps if you scheduled a short stay with the option to stay longer, you would have an opportunity to get a “feel “ of the park and talk to returning snowbirds who could give you input that would help alleviate your concerns....

In a weeklong stay we hear 4-5 gunshots outside the park boundary. There were lots of squealing tires, racing engines and booming bass music on the street outside the fence. Sounded a lot like drag racing. Just don't get caught outside the razor wire fence after dark....

Have stayed here twice with no problems. Staff circulates all the time during the day, and there's a manned guard shack at night....

The park itself feels safe. It feels like it's own little island. There is a fence surrounding it and after hours you have to be let through the gate....

We have stayed at this KOA multiple times. We go about 3 times a year. We always feel safe in the park. We sit by the fire pits late at night and have never had a problem. We leave coolers, blackstones and our camping gear out all nights. You are safe. There is a Walmart about 2 miles away. Kinda sketchy at night but if you go during the day it’s fine....
