Thu Feb 07 2019We are 6 visitors from the UK travelling in 3 RV's in May this year.We need a 1 night stay on our way to New Orleans.Is it necessary to prebook or will it be ok to turn up on the day?...

May be wise to call them, especially if you will be coming through on a weekend or close to Memorial Day. Their office number is 337/291-8388. Also, as other reviewers noted, the utilities can be awkwardly placed so, depending on the site you get, you might need an electrical or water hose extension....

We did not have reservations when we stayed for one night. But it was February, not the peak tourist season. So, I have no idea about May walk-in possibilities....

Probably best to call them first, especially if you will be visiting near a weekend or near the Memorial Day holiday....

I do not think you would have any problems without a reservation. There were few people there when we stayed and did not have a reservation....
