Hi travelcade, I lived in Lynchburg over 15 years and avoided using up the hill over Rt 130. Semi's do it but I don't like it. Coming from the south on I-81, exit at Cloverdale and take US 460E towards Bedford and Lynchburg. You will go over some gentle hills. Continue on US460 to Lynchburg, don't get on US460 business. In Big Island you get on Us501 north and go 4 miles to route 130 and the campground is about 3 miles east toward Lynchburg. 130 from Madison Heights is also very hilly, not much different than 122....

Come from the actual town of Lynchburg. We have a 40’4” fifth wheel and it was scary. So we will be avoiding it next time....
