Fort Mountain State Park

Thu Apr 18 2024We will be arriving after 10 pm and I have seen comments on this site that there is a gate. The reservation paperwork we received did not mention this. I tried to call the campground to inquire but received no answer to the call. Does anyone know if we will be able to get in?...

Georgia Parks with gates lock at 10:00 pm. You need the code. Also, we have stayed at the park twice in the campground and once in the cabins. We pull a 40 ft fifth wheel and have done so for ten years. I never think it is a good idea to arrive at a campground at night and try to set up. Too many things can go wrongask me how I knowFurther, the drive up to the park is steep and winding. Just my opinion....
