We have stayed several times. To the best of our knowledge there are NO sites at all directly on the river. The campground is no more than 50-75 yards from the river, but across the entrance road from it. Plenty of picnic sites and parking directly on the river banks, however....

There are no waterfront or water view sites, they are all away from the water, hurricane damage impacted much of the shrubs/trees that divided the sites, so they appear more open than in the past, all sites now have sewer but some utilities have been relocated on sites making them now more drive in (utilities on L) rather than back in (utilities on R); I don't think they updated the website to reflect these changes. There is a boat ramp, but the river in this area is subject to water levels for navigation. There are nice trails and wooden bridges with some historical areas of interest, also an old cemetery and history of the area. Trains are heard several times daily, tracks are close....

No, the site are away, but the river can be easily walked to....
