It depends on which direction and what part of the park you want to visit. RCB is off I-10 which makes entering the southern part of the park quite easy - about 26 miles.. If you want to be in the actual town of Joshua Tree and 29 Palms, it's a much longer drive back west to Palm Springs and north to Yucca Valley and then back east again to JT. Remember RCB is an ownership park and all sites have to be reserved through each individual owner. From what we learned during our stay last winter, most reservations must be made at least a year or more in advance....
