Tips from campers about Bayard, NE
- Traveling Austins You can see Chimney Rock National Historic Site from the campground and you can drive to the Chimney Rock visitors center and hike around it. Scotts Bluff National Monument isn't far away and is fantastic to see. The Oregon Trail went through both Chimney Rock and Scotts Bluff. You can drive to the top or you can hike the trails. We went to Carhenge but that was underwhelming. What really amazed us was the night sky! Without much light around the stars are very visible, we could see the Milky Way. We sat a couple nights in our chairs, leaned back looking up.3 months ago Chimney Rock Pioneer Crossing
