“Why do they charge so much for water and sewer?”
Nightly Rate: $31 USD
The park was beautiful and we enjoyed our visit. I was very disappointed to see that for our 14 night stay, we were charged $98 for water and $98 for sewer, and it was not discounted. I understand...

“Quiet, spacious spots, nature trails, swimming and day use area during season, clean bathouses”
Nightly Rate: $33 USD
This is one of my favorite parks anywhere. It's so quiet and peaceful. There are trails to walk and it's right on Smith Lake. If you are looking for somewhere to get away and just relax this is the...

Tip for Other Campers:
Bring your own food...there is a Foodland about 15 min away but very few places to eat
Tips from campers about Corinth Recreation Area
- Gpcs Drove over to Jekyll Island and enjoyed the trails and beaches there. Went to St. Mary's to explore for a day and found it to be a charming, sleepy, small town. Lovely park downtown and an interesting tabby ruins of a sugar mill built in 1830 on the road to the campground. St. Mary's cemetary is the final resting place of more civil war veterans than any place else in Georgia. If you enjoy old cemetaries this is worth your visit. There is a great submarine museum downtown but we did not have time to visit.4 years ago Crooked River State Park
- Hallie and Jesse Highly recommend visiting the Brackish Beer Company, an adorable micro-brewery in town. The Brackyard Ale was our favorite.3 years ago Crooked River State Park
- JaMiller We drove into St. Mary's (8 miles). Not bike friendly due to traffic and no shoulder. St. Mary's is a perfect little town with a few great restaurants, cute shops, great bookstore and a couple of small museums, charming neighborhoods. We ate dinner at 401 West. Excellent restaurant overlooking water. All food is locally and sustainable procured. Took ferry over to Cumberland Island...a MUST! We brought our ebikes over on the ferry. What a very special, beautiful island. A gem. The ferry requires a 45 minute checkin and you will need all of it. You can buy a national parks pass there is you need to. Cumberland Island has captured my heart. Check out the Book: Untamed and read it before you go over.3 years ago Crooked River State Park

Stayed in site 32, firefly. Was able to work and stream with Verizon. Dish captured all satellites. Loved the spaciousness of the site, and the entire campground was beautifully maintained. Definitely...

This is not your place if you're looking for an area close to big attractions. If you're looking for a great campsite, peace and quiet, a large lake to fish, etc., this is it. The campsites, grounds,...

Google Maps got a little confused when we took a side trip. It took us in a big circle in the totally opposite direction, so it's a good idea to have a roadmap with you.

“Great stay”
Nightly Rate: $40 USD
Very nice level sites. Stable electricity, good water pressure, great septic hook ups. Stayed two additional days due to rain. We camped at Corinth Recreation Area in a Motorhome.
