  MFTDoc At the time we visited, the main park (not the campground) was closed. They expect it to open again this Spring. When it does, it is an added attraction. For navigation, there are basically two ways to get into the park. One is through town. That's safer but it takes about 20 minutes longer. The other is via AL 211 (Noccalula Road). It is only 2 miles from I-59 this way. AL211 is a normal width 2-lane road. However, the last mile before the park there is zero shoulder. Literally, if you cross the white line by even 6 inches in places, you'll go into a ditch. I safely navigated US211 both ways in my 38 foot motorhome, so it is definitely do-able. However, if you aren't sure you can keep your RV absolutely between the white lines on a winding road, you might want to take the longer, but safer, road through town.

  K&K Adventures If you are coming from the direction of Birmingham toward Gadsden and take Exit 188 don't go left as the app tells you! It is an adventure all by itself that you don't need. Follow the signs. Look for Hwy 211/Noccalula Pkwy and sign for park.
