Tips from campers about Quartz Lake State Recreation Area
- Mike Freeman I had the BEST rib-eye at the Saddleback Saloon Steakhouse. The sides of mexican roasted corn & beans with bacon & onion were excellent. I don't often eat steak out but this was worth waiting for. There is a state park close and lots of things to see. Tip for Other Campers:
Propane is high but gas/diesel reasonable in Delta Junction. Sullivan Roadhouse museum is interesting. Ate at the Buffalo Centre Drivein. Good food and service.
This is a lovely spot. We stayed in the gravel area by the lake, which was very nice, since few people were there. On a busy weekend, sites would be extremely tight. Think parking lot. Wooded sites...
