This RV park is permanently closed due to road construction going thru it. We camped at Town and Country RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an adequate campground located just outside Palmer near the fairgrounds. The entrance is a bit of a mess with big rocks and pot holes. We had a 50 amp pull thru with FHUs. Site was narrow...

Tips from campers about Town and Country RV Park

  • Jeancal If you're coming from the north I highly suggest you turn left at a signal , either Middle Creek or Dollywood lane then right on River all the way to the park . It's soooo much easier than trying cross Parkway without a light which is what our GPS did to us !
  • Lynn0341 SO MANY GREAT PLACES TO EAT IN THIS AREA... OLD MILL IS ONE OF OUR TOP PLACES TO EAT BREAKFAST AND LUNCH.. THEY DO NOT SERVE DINNER. WE TRIED THE FIVE OAKS FARM KITCHEN RIGHT UP THE ROAD FROM US AND ENDED UP EATING TWO DIFFERENT TIMES WHILE THERE... YOU GET ALOT OF FOOD FOR THE VALUE AND THE PLACE IS SO COOL ON THE INSIDE. THE TANGER OUTLETS ARE RIGHT UP THE ROAD TO DO SOME SHOPPING ALSO.
  • Mtrain Get a reservation to the Peddler Steakhouse in Gatlinburg, just outstanding in all respects.Crocketts Breakfast Camp was also amazing. We went at lunchtime so the wait wasnt too bad.

More spacious than most in Alaska. Lots of grass, but few trees (they are only in the part without full hookups). Strong WiFi (a "must" for us), but office is largely unattended and we had to ask...

This is a no frills CG located just off the Glenn Highway. Road noise may bother some. As said by others, the office is not regularly staffed. The staff is friendly. We stayed here in a 45-footer...
