City of Jerome was very cool if you want to go to a small artistic town. Hiking at Red Rocks State Park (very close) was awesome.

Cottonwood is 10 minutes to the south and offers tremendous options for services, dining, etc. Sedona is about equal distance to the north, and national Parks, Montezumas Castle and Montezumas Well are about the same distances to the east.Be prepared to not know if you willhave sewer connections until you arrive, and pay attention on the entrance road....

Feels like a state campground. Nice trees clean facilities! My Starlink worked on the ground with the long cord. We camped at Lo Lo Mai Springs Outdoor Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Cove mesa, oak creek winery. Oak creek country club was nice to golf as well. Found a deal on golfnow.

The park was clean, they had lots of amenities including tubing down the creek, the pool, hot tub, carnival games, cookie decorating, crafts. Showers and restrooms were clean and showers were warm....
