Jeannestape Beach comb for agates! There are tons of them. Lots of interesting rocks and petrified wood as well. Lots of people fishing from boats or on the shore.

Southbird Good fishing charters for halibut. Ninilchik river reportedly has good fishing, but it had been closed by Alaska fish and game to protect the salmon.
