Tip for Other Campers:
We went to Mt. Magazine SP almost every day (and Mt. Nebo SP on the day we didn't). Lots of really good trails up there, and we summitted the highest peak in Arkansas. Yaay. (It's a gentle walk up from the lodge.) The lodge is beautiful and has a good restaurant. Fall color was at its peak.

Not really many thing around for restaurants. The lodge at the state park has a restaurant.

Wonderful quiet park with views of the lake all around. Nice swimming area. We camped at Waveland Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Mount Magazine. Cowie's Vineyard. Fowler's Restaurant had great food (especially the fried pies).
