- welderwife22 Jonesboro does not have a mall but has many shopping centers. There are tons of restaurants in this town. It is not a tourist town as it is an industry hub for the Arkansas Delta. It has a nature center and a local museum on the campus of Arkansas State University. It is within an hour of Memphis. It is a short driving distance to The Southern Tenant Farmers Museum or The Johnny Cash Boyhood Home.
