We were in site 75, next to the water. I got out my blower, cleaned off the site and it was perfect. The restrooms/showers were very clean. It was a relaxing couple of days. We had a full hook-up site...

Tips: (1) Campsites 45-60 are not suitable for campers over 24 feet; park staff advise calling before booking one of those sites. (2) We judged that about a 1/2 of the campsites are better suited for shorted RVs under 30ft.
Tips from campers about Lake Charles State Park
- FoxBox We forgot that Arkansas is a dry/wet county state, so if you'd like a glass of wine in the evenings, remember to grab a bottle before you cross state lines. Bring your bikes and fishing poles. I thought this area was really walkable with a stroller so it seemed very family friendly. The park does charge even if you are not digging and just want to walk the property to check it out and see what it's about. The small historical display inside the visitors center is free of charge. There were lots of pets, so it seemed very pet friendly as well.2 months ago Crater of Diamonds State Park
- Tim_822 Murfreesboro is a nice little town. But, as there are Dollar Stores intown, there is no grocery store in town. Best to take what you may need or drive 10 to 12 miles to Walmart.3 months ago Crater of Diamonds State Park
