Clean & walking distance to Beautiful Beaver Lake. Nice breeze at night off the water made the campfire perfect We camped at War Eagle Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips from campers about War Eagle Campground
- wellibe The drive in from Wakefield is 16 miles of the roughest paved road that I've traveled in a while. Mostly 35 mph or less if you want to avoid damaging your rig.6 months ago Porcupine Mountain Wilderness State Park
- RVL421166 Bring screen tent if you have one. Flies were really bad a couple of the days. Mosquitoes not as bad because it was windy most of the time. Great sunsets over Lake Superior.
- 1998 Ultrasport It's about 20 miles to the closest gas, restaurant and grocery store. Plan accordingly. Say HI to Scott and Paul at the ranger station when you go in. Both GREAT guys to talk to and VERY helpful. Tell them "Steve" said HI! Pick up some Keweenaw Brewing Widow Maker dark beer. Good stuff.

We mtn bike and the Hobbs State Park trails are 30 minutes away, Kessler/Centennial trails in Fayetteville are 40 minutes away and SlaugtherPen/Back 40/Sugar Creek trails are an hour away.
