Remains of the old Hudsons Bay Fort from 1805 to 1952 are located on Carp Lake road about a km off highway 97. After 1952 Hudsons Bay relocated to the highway. It is now the general store. Gas and food are available at the first nations reserve on Carp Lake road past the old fort.
