“Oceanside and close to downtown”
Nightly Rate: $58 CAD
Great location, walking distance to downtown, right on the oceanside boardwalk, on one of the nicest beaches on the east side of Vancouver Island, immediately adjacent to one of the larger, best kept...

Just enjoy the sun and sand! Restaurant at hotel immediately east of the site is really good - and the Masala Hut East Indian restaurant behind Home Hardware is EXCELLENT! - Lots of food markets in town and loads of places to see / things to do.About 10k bike ride on residential roads (with bike lanes) and dedicated bike trails to Qualicum Beach - easy...

Basic full services campsite. Amenities at site are good and function well. Short walk to the beach. We are more provincial parks campers so we are a little disappointed with these types of sites....

Tips from campers about Park Sands Beach Resort
- wrduhrt There are two restaurants on the pier just below the RV Park. The town of Avila is only a couple of minutes away and has some local food options. There are tons of food options within a 10-20-minute drive from the RV park. Be prepared for the possibility of high winds. There was always a breeze, but the winds were very noticeable in the trailer on two of the three nights.1 week ago Flying Flags Avila Beach
- Gary_106 If you have dogs, the shreded redwood bark is very invasive, bring dog brushes and brooms for your RV floor. The weather can be VERY COLD when the wind blows, and it does blow every week. Bring extra jackets and blankets for watching the sunset with the fire pit. We had 45 MPH gusts in March for two days, made us wish we didnt have slide out topper awnings. There isnt much to do in Avila Beach, its a tiny town and some of the restaurants are seasonal. There is a fantastic basic seafood restaurant at the end of the pier, called Merseas. Any type of seafood grilled, sauted, or blackened, I have included a picture of their menu. Bring a jacket the outside seating can get very cold when the wind is blowing. The seal lions are very entertaining while you are eating. Dont go to the other Port Luis restaurant Fat Cats, very ordinary food, we had four different disappointing dishes. There is a great coffee store in Avila beach1 month ago Flying Flags Avila Beach
- DannyB1 Great dog beach just below park. Not a lot of facilities for kids. A pier and two restaurants just below park. Local towns with restaurants and wineries near by. Easy to navigate to. Located on a steep hillside that has been terraced. The Cracked Crab in Pismo Beach and The Lure in San Luis Obispo3 months ago Flying Flags Avila Beach

Great location with views of the ocean. Never saw anyone in the office during our stay. But that most likely had to do with the time of year. Laundry facilities were in need of attention with some...
