Take the ferry to Alert Bay where the world's tallest totem pole is located. Or another ferry to Sointula on Malcolm Island, first populated by a group of Finns that established a co-operative movement.

Plan a day trip on the ferry (foot passenger and vehicle) to Malcolm Island and visit the fishing community of Sointula. Enjoy the culture of this unique Finnish settlement which was founded in the early 1900s.
