Launce The big cruise ships can't access Petersburg, so it's a real town. Just walk the main drag, waterfront, shop the stores. Lunch at Coastal Cold Storage. I took a terrific tour over to LeConte Glacier, with Tongass Kayak Adventures-- basically Scott Roberge, a funny, very knowledgeable guy. The tour included kayaking (my back was sore so I hiked a bit). If I'd been there for more than a week, I'd have taken his whale-watching excursion, too.

skidiver Cute little town. Very friendly people. The owners of the park gave us a dungenuss crab from their crab pots that they had cooked. Very nice people.
