“Near a busy bridge with heavy truck traffic. If you dont mind dry camping, island sites are nice.”
Nightly Rate: $35 CAD
Site 69 was big enough for our 40 rig and truck. The downside of this site is full sun all day. We camped at Peace Island Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a huge lot with ample space. Only electric hook up but, we were only there for the night. We didn't even unhook. Lot was level. There was a little traffic noise but I only know because my...

Tips from campers about Peace Island Park
- SilverOtter Eat a Dons, of course. Moderate prices, nice service, down home food.5 months ago Tom's Cove Park
- Don in VA Mr. Whippys soft serve is an island must do. If you like real ice cream theres the Island Creamery jus a block or two down Maddox Ave. If you need something for the trailer there is a very well equipped Ace Hardware on Maddox at the roundabout. Assateague Island is a must visit for the wildlife and ponies but bring strong mosquito repellent. When the mosquitoes are bad its literally unbearable.7 months ago Tom's Cove Park
- godfather1155 See the pony swim, parade, carnival, go to the beach, NASA facility, explore the town.7 months ago Tom's Cove Park

“Nice looking campground ”
Nightly Rate: $67 CAD
The campground looks nice but there are no restrooms and no shower or laundry facilities. The staff was a bit. Nonchalant and less than helpful. Good for one quick overnight stay. We camped at Peace...

There is nothing out of the ordinary about this park. Decent-sized spaces. OK playground for kids. Boat access to the river. Near to a small town and 15 miles from Fort Nelson. No WiFi. Cell ATT hot...

Tip for Other Campers:
EXERCISERS: Park in quite big. You can get a 3-mile run without too much repeating. A hardtop road outside would be good for biking. Gravel inside roads for mountain bikes. Boat access for a kayak but the current may be too much. We didn't do kayaking.
