Tip for Other Campers:
Monterey and Carmel get all the attention but we fell in love with Pacific Grove. Check out the Monarch Butterfly sanctuary and the incredible beach walk that runs the length of the town. Also, brunch at Winstons was incredible!

Tips from campers about Carmel by the River RV Park
- Robertg7 Lots of traffic from wild flower tourists on weekends in March. Temecula, San Diego, Palm Springs each about ninety minutes away.8 years ago Borrego Holiday Home Park
- saturn7 Small town, small grocery, a good idea to bring your food and drinking water with you...and fill up your tank...you are far away from everything in Borrego Springs. See the state park and the hikes there if you can. Day use fee at the state park.10 years ago Borrego Holiday Home Park

Tip for Other Campers:
Lots of wine tasting rooms (approx 30) are about 8-10 miles away. Close to Carmel for sightseeing and shopping. Good farmers market on Sunday in Carmel Village. Point Lobos very close for beautiful coastal hiking.
