Tip for Other Campers:

Definitely eat at Walker Burger in Walker just 2 miles south of the park. Take the trail to the river but get directions from staff as the trail meanders at bit staying parallel with 395 before it crosses the road to the KOA private property.

We are sorry you were disappointed in your stay. To clarify, you only paid $68 a night for your pull-through site. We were surprised you extended and added another day to your reservation after having stayed for one night. Being in high desert elevation it is difficult to have grass. The grass we do have is for children to play. Unfortunately not everyone picks up after their dog, not always on purpose as they are sometimes distracted while their dog does their business. Pavement would not work well for a dog’s paws in the summer as it would be too hot. We wish you the best in your travels and hope you can find a campground better suited for your needs.
