  winnie1 There is a Dollar General in Gardner about 9 miles west of the campground. Across the street from there is a truck stop, hardware store and pharmacy. Walmart is about 17 miles east towards Alexandria.

  JSRFrench This is camping in a National Forest with an attached lake. There is a very good boat launch within 1 mile. During the swimming season April to September - there is a beach area with picnic tables, permanent barbecues & a public restroom facility. This is an excellent place to walk or bicycle in the forest with numerous long trails.

  JSRFrench Great place to use walking trails & for boating / fishing. Very quiet forest atmosphere. To get this particular space - better plan on arriving during the week as it is very popular.
