Tip for Other Campers:
Dog park within walking distance (1.5 miles RT) located off the bike path. Nice walking paths on the other side of the highway that meandered around/near the Cove.
Tips from campers about Silver Strand State Beach
- PR and Pat Oliver Be sure to try the Greenbriar Restraunt. We had catfish and hush puppies. Great food but it is 20 to 25 minutes from the campground. Decatur is bigger than you might think and it is a long trip to Walmart.2 years ago Jay Landings RV Park

Tip for Other Campers:
Make sure you go all the way down I5 to state route 75 through Imperial Beach to get to silver strand. Dont go over the bridge through Coronado. Also dont follow the RV Life directions they bring you to the wrong location on the bay side. Use the directions from the state park site and follow signs to state beach on the Ocean Side.

Bring flip flops, jackets and ready to eat food to enjoy every second of your time while here. Also, bring a ball and anything that would make your stay worthwhile.
