Tip for Other Campers:
Dog park within walking distance (1.5 miles RT) located off the bike path. Nice walking paths on the other side of the highway that meandered around/near the Cove.

- ClaireOKC Even though it's cooler, beware of the chiggers. Hiking up to the top of the mountain is a piece of cake and well worth the time and effort. Make sure you store up on supplies from the store before you go because it's a good hour drive to any grocery store. Tip for Other Campers:
Make sure you go all the way down I5 to state route 75 through Imperial Beach to get to silver strand. Dont go over the bridge through Coronado. Also dont follow the RV Life directions they bring you to the wrong location on the bay side. Use the directions from the state park site and follow signs to state beach on the Ocean Side.

Bring flip flops, jackets and ready to eat food to enjoy every second of your time while here. Also, bring a ball and anything that would make your stay worthwhile.
