Tip for Other Campers:
Roaring Camp steam train ride was very fun. They werent running the train that goes to the Santa Cruz boardwalk but that would have been a great way to get down there too.Very close to Henry Cowell SP too.
Tips from campers about Smithwoods RV Park
- gs2rt Be sure to use Mt Hermion rd to get to park, not Ca9. The warnings are true! 9 is a narrow, snakey, drive. It's fine for the trip down to Santa Cruz in your toad, but not for RV's. BTW Santa Cruz mission is closed on Tues.5 years ago Smithwoods RV Park

Approaching the RV park from the south on Highway 9 with your RV is not advised; it's full of sharp turns that may be hard to navigate. Best to get there through Scotts Valley.
