The park is beautiful - very quiet and peaceful. The restrooms are less rustic than many other state parks. We were disappointed, however, at the lack of information available. We had trouble finding...

Rate is based on Golden Age Passport. We arrived about noon on a Sunday. Most all campers had departed though the remnants still there seemed to have been a noisy group. By nightfall, all weekend...

Tips from campers about Los Padres National Forest

  • KcSoFL One issue with RV Life routing, it wanted to take us down a dead end road (Holcomb road) and come back out. Stay on Fodder to the campground if that's the way you are coming. Take it slow, lots of curves. 38' with toad.
  • AirRaceFan Call the campground on your way in... Google, RV Trip Wizard and others all run through some REALLY curvy roads with some really hard turns. I'm leaving a different way thanks to the great advise of the staff. Wonderful people. And... Waterfalls galore in this area. Enjoy!
  • LyndaandPaul We camp with 2 German Shepherds so we do a lot of hiking. We hiked Brasstown Bald Mountain. Awesome views; Chatuge Lake, Anna Ruby Falls, Jack Rabbit Trail and Tallulah Falls-which is not to miss. A bit crowded, but breathtaking! If you come in the beginning of October, don't miss the Georgia Mountain Fair. Also visited Hele for Oktoberfest.

Recreation.gov site said this campground was great for all size RVs. Don't believe it. We had a 37' fifth wheel and it was very difficult getting out of the campground. The campground is a pleasant...

Forest park way off the beaten path. Very narrow roads into it, and within. Difficult to maneuver our 36" fifth wheel. Couldn't get satellite reception, no services. Nice laid back weekend. About...
