“Great overnight stop”
Nightly Rate: $14 USD
The spots are spacious and this makes a great stopover point whole travelling. Recommend bringing $14 cash to drop in an envelope, otherwise it is $28 a night online. We camped at Independence Creek...

There is fishing in the creek and some hiking available. Easy for the kids to stretch their legs for the stop.

This is a beautiful county park just seconds out of Independence. There are 23 sites, some of which are across the stream. Not sure how much weight the wooden bridge will take but we wouldnt try it....

For the best views take the spots over the bridge - check to see if youll fit first. As others have said - visit Lone Pine for a traditional western town feel. Alabama hills is also magnificent.

Nice wide spots. Had no problem backing in our 34 foot fifth wheel and parking our full size, crew cab truck. Creek running through camp. Pit toilets were kept clean every day. We stayed for 7 days....
