This park is located adjacent to the Kern River, which is a very popular river for camping and day use. The camp sites were full when we visited but we had a reservation and the site we chose was nice...

Tip for Other Campers:

McNalley's, a small hotel, restaurant, market and burger joint (very good) is within walking distance of the camp grounds which is convenient. I understand the have a beach of sorts on the river side of their property. I did not confirm this nor do I know if visitors are allowed to use the area.
