“No reason to come back here”

Sparsely treed gravel and asphalt campground.Primitive (no hookup) sites oddly positioned between the premium sites and the lake, so instead of looking at the lake you will be looking at...

Tip for Other Campers:
Water line to the dump site was broken. Fortunately there is one a bit further at the equestrian area.

The sites and the campground were top notch. Sandy ground, spacious, clean, beautiful, and well maintained. The view of the surrounding hills was spectacular. The hosts who we met were lovely and...

Really easy assess by car to all area surroundings. Bike paths are everywhere. Park is good for dogs. Out two 75 pound dogs loved it there. No offf-lease areas but large enough to let them go when nobody was around.
Tips from campers about Lake Cahuilla Veterans Regional Park
- T&MSkehan So much to do: within minutes you are in Iowa and Nebraska. Places to see: Yankton SD.. walkable 2 decker bridge. There are locks on the bridge and sculptures around the park. Sioux Falls is an hour away.; be sure to check out the falls and downtown! Bacon Creek park in Iowa is a great place to kayak, picnic and walk (there is a 2? mile trail around the lake) and only a few minutes from the campground. There are many things to see and do nearby. McCook Lake behind the campground is another spot to kayak. We also went to Ponca State Park in Nebraska..3 years ago Sioux City North KOA Holiday
- Lynn_545 Used as a "pass thru" on our trip so didn't travel around the area.6 months ago Sioux City North KOA Holiday
- 66 Mustang Lots for the kids to do in the play areas. It was an overnighter for us (2 adults)7 months ago Sioux City North KOA Holiday

Top Question about Lake Cahuilla Veterans Regional Park
These questions & answers are the opinion of a RV LIFE' member and not the views of RV LIFE
Question:
Ok, so I just camped for a week at Lake Cahuilla in my VW Westy in the "primitive" sites with no creature comforts other than a table and a fire ring. Other than the ONE AC outlet I found available in the Men's room, are there any other charging stations for all our electronic gadgets? Are there any open power receptacles over in the Wi-Fi area?...

The campground is a bit packed in, but nice to get electricity after boondocking. It's very quiet and quite lovely' We camped at Lake Cahuilla Veterans Regional Park in a Travel Trailer.
