Check with U.S. Forest Service, Lassen National Forest, Almanor Ranger District for current campground status. We visited Almanor Legacy Campground, no overnight stay.

If you plan to eat at Plumas Pines Resort make reservations. They get pretty busy at dinner time in the summer.
