We stayed in #47 from March 6-12 with a 29 ft 5th wheel, and was very pleased with it. Easy backin, magnificent views, and very quiet. The weekend got a little busier, but we left Saturday morning....

The movie museum is a must see as well as the drive along Movie Rd and up to the arch area. Alabama Hills cafe is a fabulous place to eat, breakfast or lunch. It has a terrific menu and the food is excellent.

Incredible. This is dispersed camping well worth all the efforts needed. Many pass through, stopping for one night, we stayed 4 days and it did take some planning to make sure we were prepared....

- WhereTheWindBlows If you have a tow, it's best to park in town and drive around and find a spot. It's extremely dusty. There are lots of hidden sites so take your time looking. Make the trip up to Mt. Whitney Portal and be rewarded with terrific views of the valley floor below. Cost to camp here is free for up to 14 days, but the site makes you put in an amount of at least $1.00.
This is BLM land with lots of area to camp in all kinds of units. The views are great and the mountains are beautiful. We were able to find a spot, in a 40' rig, where our ATT MIfi worked well. The...
