“Great park right on the American River”
Nightly Rate: $86 USD
Awesome Manager and employees. Clean bathrooms, my sight was great full hook up. I highly recommend this park and will visit again. We camped at Thousand Trails Ponderosa in a Motorhome.

Tips from campers about Thousand Trails Ponderosa
- HMathis58 VIsit the Bass Pro Shop nearby. Downtown Prattville is a nice place to visit. Near downtown is a shallow stream that my dogs really enjoyed splashing around in. The water was clean and the current was not that strong. For the best pizza you will ever eat, go to Midtown Pizza. Tip for Other Campers:
Don't trust google maps to direct you to campground from the east. They'll route you on a narrow windy highway (CA-49). I would recommend exiting on Greenstone Road (Exit 41, a few miles west of Placerville). You'll still have a few windy sections of road, but a lot less than taking CA-49.
